HOW TO GET TO SEVEN DAYS WORK

 

Automobile travel:

Drive to Black's Harbour, New Brunswick.  Proceed to the Blacks Harbour Ferry Terminal.

Board the automobile ferry to Grand Manan Island.  Reservations are not necessay; see ferry schedule.   The ferry has a dining room and observation decks; the ninety-minute passage often includes sightings of whales and porpoises.

Disembark at the North Head Ferry Terminal.  Turn left onto route 776; then  proceed 1.8 kilometres along route 776 until you get to Whistle Road.  Turn right onto Whistle Road; then proceed 2.44 kilometres along Whistle Road.  Turn right at the sign marked "244," leaving Whistle Road; then pass directly through an iron gate and proceed .7 kilometres to the end of the gravel road.  You will be at Seven Days Work.

Taxi service can be arranged.

Air Travel: 

Major international airlines fly to nearby Bangor (ME),  Saint John (NB), and Fredericton (NB).  There is also a small airport on Grand Manan for private airplanes and Atlantic Charters.  The non-stop Atlantic Charters flight from Boston to Grand Manan takes seventy minutes.
